Drakul Origin

 

Throughout the lands in the dark ages disease and the plague consumed the lands killing many whom contracted the deadly pestilence, the first recorded existence of an Drakul was a man named Nathaniel it was during this age that he was stricken with the plague, on the night that he witnessed his family dying before his very eyes Nathaniel was suddenly overcome with an unnatural urge. Before this time the townspeople sought treatment and when the doctor arrived at his manor he was horrified when he witnessed Caine, drinking the blood of his child and he wasted no time in returning to town.

 

When word reached the townspeople they formed an angry mob and stormed his manor there they witnessed him feeding upon the corpse of his wife they declared him mad and once they had captured him, they return with him to town where he was hanged for this unholy misconduct and was soon buried in the cemetery along with other plague victims, in the following days Nathaniel inexplicably raised from the dead to attack the townspeople in vengeance. The vampire lord drained many of their blood and embraced them with the dark gift thus the Drakul were born.

 

Background

 

Long ago, Marek was born and raised from a low class family his father worked as a blacksmith forging weapons and armor, for the King's army while his mother worked as a chambermaid in the kingdom of Valhurst. At the age of six he was trained in combat by his father when he was not forging weapons and armor. Four years later, at the tender age of ten, Marek was exiled from the city by the King for brawling with the adult prince who had laid his hands on his mother. Since his exile, Marek struggled for three years before finding his way to Dhani and taking up residence in an elven village, where he was soon adopted by an elven couple who did not have any children. It was there, in his newfound home that he furthered his training with weaponry, learned their magicks and studied their language.

 

Marek remained with his adopted parents for nine years of his life until the age of twenty-two when he moved into his own place, although he kept close contact with his elven family. Two years later, due to his proficiency of weaponry and magic, Marek was offered to join the ranks of an elven clan. He became the first and only human to ever do so, for two years he fought alongside them perfecting his combat expertise and magic against imposing armies. It wasn't until one year later that he heard of a clan of vampires attacking other elven villages and with his elven parents' blessing, he traveled to Mynarath. When the battle began Marek killed many of the vampires however during the battle, he was caught off guard and was mortally wounded by one of the undead beasts.

 

On the brink of death, Marek was spared and was given the dark gifts from the very vampire who wounded him for his courage and combat expertise for many years he understood the dark gifts that he had been given and learned to harness their powers. He had also learned of the deaths of his human and elven parents from his dark father long ago, over the last six hundred years Marek slipped into torpor and has recently awakened. He found that Mynarath had went through various changes and since the time of his embracing, he has left all that he had known behind and traveled alone.

 

Weapons

 

Nordathil: A Longsword forged of elven make. The length of this double edged blade is of onyx color, with elven markings beginning from the tip and ending near the guard of the blade. The guard is also of onyx color and the hilt is wrapped in a thin strip of dark leather. While the blunt end of the pommel resembles a dragon head with an onyx gem inlaid in it's mouth. The Longsword is set within a sheath across his back. Sword Length: 44 inches

 

Nardril and Alardril: A set of Daggers forged of elven make. The length of these single edged blades is of onyx color, with elven markings beginning from the tip and ending near the guard of the blades. The guard is also of onyx color and the hilt is wrapped in a thin strip of dark leather. While the blunt end of the pommel resembles a dragon head with an onyx gem inlaid in it's mouth. The Daggers are set within seperate sheathes on each side of his waist. Dagger Length: 19 inches

 

Apparel

 

Dark Half Plate Mail: Marek wears a near full set of half plated armor black in color which covers the chest, arms, hands, legs and feet. Portions of black chain mail are present on certain parts of the armor.

 

Civilian Attire: When not within his armor Marek is seen wearing a complete set of dark clothing as well as dark leather boots.

 

Natural Abilities

 

Improved Strength: Drakuls have the ability to lift objects easily twice their size.

Improved Agility: Drakuls have the ability to move fluidly from one place to another.

Improved Reflexes: Drakuls have the ability to fluidly dodge incoming attacks.

Improved Senses: Drakuls possess senses that are much greater than that of a normal human. As such their main senses of sight, hearing and awareness have heightened for example Drakuls sense of sight allows them to see in all darkened areas up to two hundred yards.

Immunity: Unlike Vampires, The Drakul either Pure or Half Blood are immune to the harmful effects of Sunlight, Garlic, Holy Relics and Hallowed Ground. Allowing them to effectively blend in to any society.

Regeneration: In time when became familiar with the abilities that he had this ability allows Marek to significantly heal any afflicted wound upon his flesh as well as mend broken bone.

Telekinesis: In time when he became familiar with the abilities that he had this ability allows Marek to pick up and move objects, with his mind. Although over the years he can pick up or move objects twice his weight.

Telepathy: In time when he became familiar with the abilities that he had this ability allows Marek to communicate telepathically with anyone. However he must be within a radius of three hundred feet.

Empathy: In time when he became familiar with the abilities that he had this ability allows Marek to hear the thoughts of others. However he must be within a radius of two hundred feet.

Charm: In time when he became familiar with the abilities that he had this ability allows Marek to temporarily control the mind of others into doing what he wants them to do. He is even able to break even the strongest of mental barriers.

Alternate Form: As a Drakul he has the ability to change his form into a horde of bats which acts as a means of transport taking Marek wherever he may need to go, a large bipedal wolf like beast with incredible strength and an invulnerable mist.

Children of the Night: With this ability Marek may verbally command lesser creatures such as bat swarms and wolves.

Dominance: With this ability Marek can crush the will of anyone just by looking into their eyes.

Shadow Step: With this ability Marek is able to move from one place to another within the blink of an eye during combat. However he mainly uses this to teleport himself or others long distances although he must have visited that place once before. He can also use this in combat as well.

 

Magic

 

Multi Fireball: Marek is able to conjure a single fireball in either of his hands when launched splits off into three.

 

Fireball: Marek is able to summon forth a single camp fire sized orb of flame in either hand when tossed will seek out his foe and engulf them in flames.

 

Hellball: Marek is able to summon forth a single camp fire sized sphere of fire or lightning within his hands, when tossed it will remain as an orb until it collides with his foe or a solid barrier. Upon doing so flames or electricity will explode in a broad radius consuming all in it's path.

 

Light Orb: Marek can summon forth a medium sized orb of magicial light from within his hands when released it will float a few feet away from him and like a torch illuminates a wide area around him.

 

Rain of Fire: Marek summons forth a shower of fire that rains down small orbs of flame. Anything that the flame touches are instantly engulfed.

 

Flame Strike: Marek summons forth a vertical column of flame that rains down upon his foe.

 

Enchant: Marek is able to enchant his weapons and the weapons of others with elemental fire or lightning.

 

Shadow Whip: Marek is able to produce a darkened whip from either hand to attack one or multiple foes.

 

Tendrils of Darkness: Marek is able to utilize several tentacles of darkness. He is able to use one to attack his enemies or using up four to ensnare them rendering them immobile.

 

Heal: Marek can channel positive energy into the palm of his hands and whoever he places his hands upon, all of their wounds are healed or their broken bones are mended. He can even cure various afflictions or ailments with the exception of Lycanthropy and Vampirism.
